How to understand Latin enough so that I can read it and translate it easier. I am horrible at translating so that would make Latin much easier and fun.
I would like to translate with ease and learn more vocabulary so i wouldn't have to look at my thesaurus for every word i don't know. I would also like to learn the Roman culture and how it was like back then living in Rome so i could get a sense of how everyday life was and understand the language more.
I would like to learn how to read Latin and understand it in the Latin form without translating it into English. I want to understand Latin so that it is nearly equivalent to my understanding of my first language (English).
My goal for this year us to learn a lot of vocabulary, because if you don't know the vocab of the Latin language, then you can never fully be able to translate Latin

From this course, I would like to get a better understanding of not only Latin, but the other Romance languages, such as French and Portuguese, so that I can be trilingual!
I would like to further understand and appreciate the Latin language. For this Latin II course I would like to learn of the Indo-Europian culture and to supplant my knowledge of the history behind the great civilization which has influenced ours so very much.
